let it snow!

..is a short vignette of Christmas music classics that will sure to get anyone into the holiday spirit. With his distinct vocal style of jazz and contemporary popular music, Buble follows in the tradition of past and present artists, such as Frank Sinatra and Harry Connick, Jr., in providing his rendering of the most entertaining songs of the holiday season. Overall, this CD may be a great addition to any Christmas record collection for one's listening pleasure. Or it may be a nice stocking stuffer for the Christmas music aficionado.

Hope abides; therefore I abide.

Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. (Psalm 27:14)

a movie by Riri Riza and Mira Lesmana, based on a novel by Andrea Hirata. is a great story for those who is searching for the meaning of life itself. "novel ini tidak mengajak pembaca menangisi kemiskinan, sebaliknya mengajak kita memandang kemiskinan dengan cara lain" koran tempo said. read the book or see the movie, and be inspired!

a peculiar sadness

Be still, my soul: The Lord is on your side. Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain. Leave to thy God to order and provide. In every change He faithful will remain. Be still, my soul: Thy best, Thy heavenly friend. Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.

nothing without you

Take these hands and lift them up
For I have not the strength to praise You near enough
For I have nothing, I have nothing without You

Take my voice and pour it out
Let it sing the songs of mercy I have found
For I have nothing, I have nothing without You

All my soul needs
Is all Your love to cover me
So all the world will see
That I have nothing without You

Take my body and build it up
May it be broken as an offering of love
For I have nothing, I have nothing without You

Take my time here on earth
And let it glorify all that You are worth
For I am nothing, I am nothing,
I am nothing without You

J.U.N.O

Such a charming 'comedy'. Hip dialogue, hip soundtrack, stellar writing & acting. A film on a serious subject, that does not take itself too seriously. If you like Little Miss Sushine, this one even better! Writer Diablo Cody has a talent for coming up with witty dialog that will have you quoting line after line. Director Jason Reitman has a good eye for delivering movies that feel and look authentic. While Juno is a quirky independent film that will not appeal to everyone, give it a chance and you will see it might just grow on you.

- cafe concert -

Cafe Concerts were traditionally a special kind of cafe, where music was offered. In the late 19th century when the cafes so typical of Paris were popping up everywhere, there were dozens of "Cafe Concert" where one could enjoy food and drink, and music.

o.n.c.e

Film critics said that it may well be the best music film of our generation.... and I second that! The story is so real, so simple, yet believable. It captures the real city in all its affluences. If you like Before Sunrise, you gonna love this one--even more. Though it is filled with music from beginning to end, it isn't something like the old musical film. The songs are just great! So moving. It's another recommended movie (and music) for your list!

BCBG Max Azria Spring 2008

It's an airy organza, sheer tulle, and liquid jersey. Real grown-ups in belted silhouettes—no infantile tent dresses here. She demurely kept her hems below the knee and often wielded an envelope clutch. The fresh new mood chez Azria did shine through in a palette of breezy pales and cool, washed neutrals.

How Do I Love Thee?

How do I love thee?
Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right.
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to useIn my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip

It's the first and only season!--created by Aaron Sorkin (the West Wing). It's all about what goes on behind the scenes of a nationwide late-night comedy sketch show. Well thought story lines, likeable casts (Steven Weber, Matthew Perry, Bradley Whitford, Amanda Peet), smart dialogues, controversial topics, with bits of romance and a whole lot of laugh. But I wonder why it's been pulled off the air too early? ..died too soon for such a brilliant comedy *sigh*

*Dial for Coffee*

A Man joined a big Multi National Company as a trainee. On his first day he dialed the pantry and shouted into the phone, "Get me a coffee quickly!"

The voice from the other side responded, "You fool you've dialed the wrong extension! Do you know who you're talking to, dumbo?"

"No", replied the trainee.

"It's the Managing Director of the company, you fool!"

The man shouted back, "And do you know who YOU are talking to, you fool?"

"No.", replied the Managing Director.

"Good!", replied the trainee who quickly put down the phone!

-partly cloudy-

I opened my eyes And looked up at the rain, And it dripped in my head And flowed into my brain, And all that I hear as I lie in my bed Is the slishity-slosh of the rain in my head. I step very softly, I walk very slow, I can't do a handstand--I might overflow, So pardon the wild crazy thing I just said--I'm just not the same since there's rain in my head.
